Does not have any security that server that any idiot can take down ?
Admin, you should consider starting to use remote access to the server to avoid inconvenience as this now!

There's a lot of security, as has been made evident by the fact that we've already stayed up without any lag through more than one DDoS attack on the server. In any scripts, there's always going to be unexpected issues, because not every single thing can be tested. I'm assuming, by their comments, that they were doing something outside of normal gameplay, or they would have had no reason to suspect that their actions had crashed the server. Now that it's happened, and they've stepped up and are willing to report what they were doing, this issue can be looked into and fixed, so we won't have these issues again. This is how bugs are fixed in every video game that's ever been created. No system is perfect, but each bug report is a step closer.
As for remote access to the server; I agree that is something that should probably be looked into, so that issues like this don't persist and cause lengthy periods of server instability, but that's up to Dreams to consider. There's also higher security risks with allowing remote access, so it would have to be considered thoroughly.

It isn't a security breach. As for protection, i'm pretty sure we have more protection then any other zuluhotel shards before us. We've been constantly hit with ddos attacks since we brought the server up, but it hasn't affected the server at all. The normal zuluhotel shard would crash instantly without the protection we have.
Lorth, I'm pretty tired of your negative attitude, you can't honestly mean that downtime is anywhere near the uptime. We've been down for like what. 25 hours in total? 20 of those being when the players decided to destroy house doors etc and we had to attempt everything to find out how they did it.
So 25 hours downtime in comparisson to 260 hours uptime? please, you do the math.

Just caused something to happen with a certain mob that obviously hasn't happened before and would have been hard to predict.

I never said you were doing anything intentionally to cause damage, or anything else. Not accusing you guys of anything. Just saying that it was outside the normal, so would be hard to test.
