I'm sure the option has been considered. I would assume it hasn't been done because of the security vulnerabilities that it could cause.

Security and national security are quite different. I enjoy playing this game, and if Dreams feels that there is a risk of someone being able to exploit that, which could cause increased downtime, I would rather be safe than sorry.
