There are companies that specialize in ending, and preventing DDoS attacks. Generally not too expensive, either.

Shard seems to be down at the moment, instead of just being DDoS'd. Any staff update on this? Is there some sort of update happening to keep this from being an issue in the future, or what exactly is going on?

i talked with the guy doing the ddos he agreed with me to stop doing the attacks for a while. he told me he is defending his friend who was banned because lara crafter is framing him for duping gems or something but hephaestus has screenshots and proof he did not do it. he said they will be ssending it to nagash through email.

Regardless they should never be allowed to play here ever again. I doesn't matter what they were accused of previously, this intentional act should merit a permanent ban. If a player is willing to perform a ddos attack on the server I don't think its improbably that they would cheat in the game as well if given the opppurtunity. It shows that "they" (the persons performing the action and those who knowingly associate with them) have bad character and shouldn't be permitted to play here.
