I'm always curious as to what people do as in professional career, etc. Also, I believe these 'platforms' such as the UO community created by ZH or many other online communities are quite international and diverse, at least considering the countries where most players come from: US, Canada, Netherlands, Sweden, Russia and Brazil (sorry if I forgot yours).
Having said this, you never really know who is on the other side of the table. We might be playing against people who we do or could do business with; and unless we trade these informations, we will never know.
I myself work at an international Asset Manager / Merchant bank.., our eyes and ears are always open to new opportunities...
Feel free to give me a shout out if you have anything that might be interesting...

I work at a sand mine in the south east of America. We process sand. How u ask? We dig it, wash it, sort it, dry it, and some of the sand we grind up to make finer material. We then ship the sand in railcars and trucks. My coworkers and I work swing shift. 3 different shifts switching every 2 weeks. The sand we process goes into making baby food bottles, stucco, toothpaste, and a big part of our company makes frac sand which is used for oil drilling(fracing). I'm a proud sand miner.
