Making Money

One thing I have noticed is that it is more difficult to make $$ the previous shards.  Crafting doesn't make you much anymore which is a good thing IMO.  Seems the best way to make $$ is hunting which is also good but it seems the like the sell price on pagans and gems has been reduced by quite a bit as well.  The only things that seems to sell for a good price are arrows (fire,ice,thunder).

Just curious what others are doing for trying to make cash.

My hunting group is pulling roughly 75-100k per hour, hunting with a 3man team, just from gold drops. More if we were to sell the arrows, which we have been saving.

I greatly prefer this type of economy, as it promotes hunting, and doing things outside of safe zones. Many other shards, people would never leave town, or their houses, until at least spec 4. Now if you want to get that head start, you're basically required to hunt.

I actually agree. People (and me) would be selling bags and bags of Breast Plates for approx 30k a piece. I do wish pagans and gems that are looted sold for a but more but oh well.

It really didn't hit me until I starting thinking about the cost of raising alchemy above 100. It will cost 100g per 1 attempt at a deadly poison potion. To go from 100 to 115 you are looking a ton of $$.

Leveling poisoning at the moment, so I feel your pain there, but keeping the market from being gold flooded keeps gold to having a value. I don't want to see it be easy for people to have the gold to work skills, and have houses/guilds/etc without hunting, unless they're taking significantly longer to do so.

Macro fishing, and cooking, still now is the thing that is giving me more money, but not too much.

I just creat an crafter and a ranger, so the other ways i dont know
