Suggestion: Staff

So, I'm noticing a trend of pages able to be made, with no staff actually present. If I remember correctly, if no staff is online, it will tell you to try again later. However, it seems that staff are leaving their accounts logged, when not in use. Causing pages to back up and people to AFK from their page. I know of one instance, it was a question of curiosity...nothing particularly important, but enough to make me ask. The page went unanswered, and I, for the life of me, can't remember why I paged that time.

Solution:
A.) Bring on a Game-Master that doesn't have a life or
B.) log out of the staff account, so we know there's no staff presence.

These are just suggestions, based on what I've noticed. With the ability to run 4 clients, some may be forgetful, like myself...page on one client and be on another, due to expecting a wait time. I'm not flaming, and having plenty of staffing experience myself on other servers like Unreal, Paradiso, etc...I understand there's plenty to do as Staff. Just suggesting that if the staff account isn't in use, that maybe it should be in rest until Staff is ready to go. If you're actually online, like playing your mortal, keeping it logged can be easier done as most people that page are like, "Where's staff?"

I've run into this issue a couple of times as well. I believe the biggest issue is the timezone difference, so there's really not any staff online during the average American playtimes.

The fact that your page gets through does not mean there is a GM on. This scripts got modified a while ago in order to prevent players from knowing the time that staff is actually on. I actually think having more staffs is not a good idea. Unfortunately, the more staff you have in a server, the more space for "corruption" there will be.

It's exactly as Casanova says. We are reluctant to hire new staff due to the fact that corruption is a big thing on ZH shards. You can usually PM a staff on the forum if you require assistance with something. Theres also the i'm stuck feature to get you out incase you get stuck. Aside from that we try to be on as much as possible. Most problems don't require immediate help or can even be solved by asking on .chat.

When paging try to be as detailed as possible (for example by adding the coordinates with the .where command when you notice an issue with a certain spot ).
Allot of times i see pages like this: " Is Dreams on?" These usually get ignored/deleted etc..
