Melee protections: Usually a PP with lvl 6 melee prot takes less dmg thana war with lvl 5 melee prot. But the difference between lvl 4 and 5-6 is too great
Ele fury... so often ppl end of up Swift/stygian 1-handed ele furys with 97% raping Everything. dealing alot more dmg than assassin's weps would.
Bows and poison for thieves. I played thief last time and I found it fun but I have a few questions. Can they shoot without archery? Do they get some kind of dmg mod with bows? Can you plaese make the highest tier bosses poisonable because thieves are completely useless against them with no dmg mod and cant poison they are just a PP in leather who cant defend themselves
I was the only thief running around with actual gear but it helped me very little. Would be fun if gear would actually matter for thieves as it does for other classes. Poison all thieves can do, but doing abit of archery dmg with proper gear/mods is a must once ppl start getting some proper gear.
The second I got a decent ele fury it made no sense to play thief anymore so I played my PP and raped everything

Also cause poisoned weps to not consume charges when shooting at a mob immune to the poison level of the weapon

Hi Kunai, Hard to remember all the fixes that already went in before last time we opened, but I think we looked in to the melee protection stuff. Will take another look to make sure. Elemental Fury was nerfed last time around, its now possible to protect against it with Elemental protections. Think we talked about this last time around aswell, Thiefs get to use daggers and kryss without needing the skill if I'm not totally wrong. This time I think we will let thiefs be able to poison even the highest tier bosses actually, it will be in as a test to start with but should be fine Poison charges already doesn't consume when a monster is immune or when the target already is poisoned.

I Believe archery was added as well after some time, wonder if it still is since daggers/krysses are usless for a thief since they will die in 1 hit from mobs since they wear leather and have no shield, even warriors cant melee Balrogs etc and have to use spears

Good, starting a thief then But would be fun to see some kind of change making thieves scale better with gear.

Yeah Kunai I understand how you feel. We have given thiefs alot of love on this shard already and it will be hard to give them more for the time being, we will just have to wait and see them in action to see if there is space to give them more stuff. Until then I hope you will enjoy yourself as a thief

I also played a thief before the shard went down. While they were extremely strong near the start, once people starting getting proper gear and skills, their effectiveness dropped off quite a bit. I loved the play-style, but hated how useless we became when hunting at end-game, and how hard we fell off in pvp. I hope this can be addressed, but either way I'll be playing thief again.

back to the topic of poisoning Been training it and hunting abit. The jump between the poison pots and the greater poison pots I make are 75 skills req and 130 skill req Also when I spoke about poisoning the highest of bosses, I hope spec 6 isnt required, cuz that is soo far in the future. you dont need to be spec 6 mage/ranger to be able to hit bosses. And you need to be able to kill those bosses to find legendary gear to hit spec 6

I understand thieves don't need any weapon skills in order to effectively use bows and krysses, so what's their skill like, compared to other classes with regards to damage output and accuracy? Does it scale with spec level or is it a "one-time bonus" so to speak (e.g., "once you hit spec thief you can use bows comparable to a spec4 Ranger with 135 archery")? Spec1 thief has archery comparable to a spec1 ranger with 75 archery, spec2 thief comparable to spec2 ranger with 90 archery, or something similar?

I highly doubt they are comparable to spec rangers, since they rely on their damage bonus... but maybe a PP with equal archery and tactics or something... The hit rate should be of greater concern than the damage for a thief, right? Also curious about this though.

Or do you have to carry multiple poisoned crappy bows to be viable? I mean to hit like a PP with 150 archery (spec6 thief) with 2 charges of top level poison on your high damage bow doesn't sound too bad. Are thieves restricted to the same gear as rangers?
